Unforgiven by Willow Winters

Title: Unforgiven
Series: Sins and Secrets #2
Author: Willow Winters
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: June 19, 2017
The sins of his past can’t be forgiven.
Mason Thatcher gave me chills when I first laid eyes on
him.  The good kind. The kind that makes your body ache and your heart
What’s better is that he looked at me the same way.
There was a hunger in his eyes that wouldn’t be sated, and a
confidence in his stride that told me I could never run from him. Back then, I
didn’t want to.
It’s not fair that his touch eased my pain.
That his lips on mine made my worries vanish.
That his love gave me a reason to breathe again.
With him, I felt complete, as if fate had given me a second
Then I learned the truth: the sins and secrets of what really
brought us together.
I knew it was too good to be true, but I could never have
imagined he’d be capable of something so cold and cruel.
There’s no way we can go back to what we once were and it’s
not as easy as walking away.  He won’t let me.  He can’t risk me
telling his secrets.
I don’t know what choices I have or how I’ll survive this.
What he’s done is unforgivable, but that doesn’t mean he’s
going to let me go.

Author Bio

Willow Winters is so happy to be a USA Today, Wall Street
Journal and #1 Contemporary Bestselling Romance Author. She likes her action
hot and her bad boys hotter. She certainly doesn’t hold back on either one in
her writing!
Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All
during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to
read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.
In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all
these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just
started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today
Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

This is book 2 and you HAVE to read book 1 (Imperfect) first since you will miss a lot and be lost. With that said, this book overall is much darker then book 1, but so much emotion is in it.

Mason doesn’t want to lose Julia so he in a way kidnaps her…that is where we start, but nowhere near where this story ends. Jules is lost and confused and hurt and pissed and yet she loves Mason but she knows she can’t stay there, she can’t forgive him.

One of the best things of this duet is the poems that Willow adds to the beginning of each chapter. There is so much emotion in them without even reading the rest.

But this is a book you can not put now as you have to know what happens. Lies, betrayal, hurt, kidnapping, running away, despair, losing everything, and mostly love…where does that all lead us. Are there things are that really are UNFORGIVABLE or can we in the end get past the hurt and “events” and let our love through.

Willow has a way with words that can show us how much in love two people can be and yet can also show the hurt that is there, 2 different emotions at the same time really come through the pages of this book.

Review of book 1:

Wow, Wow, Wow! This book is amazing and yet it does end on a HUGE cliffhanger. (But it is a duet so I wouldn’t expect any less).

Mason and Jules have amazing chemistry and you can’t help but love the two of them together. Mason is this good guy right from the start and Jules is *scared*, she hasn’t done any dating since losing her husband about 8 months prior, and it was her looking for Mason, but she found him and was intrigued and couldn’t help the connection and chemistry.

This is a book you will have trouble putting down.
