A Colorful Life Drawn in Broken Crayon by Melissa Storm

I happened to get this book for free from the author and therefore was not sure what to expect when reading.  But I found this book to start a little slow but after the slow start it was a very enjoyable read.  I was not ready for it to end but honestly the ending was so perfect.   There is a little bit of everything in this book, love, heartbreak, forgiveness, redemption and fate.  You want to cry at points, you smile so big at points and you leave this read feeling satisfied.  I recommend this book! 🙂

Breakaway by Catherine Gayle

If you like romance, drama, hockey players and more this book is for you.  Dana is a girl with a terrible past she is trying to overcome.  Eric is her older brother’s best friend and is the only one who can help her fix herself.  This book is a great slow burn where both feel that the other isn’t interested, but you can tell early they both are, but since they feel the other isn’t they keep everything in check.  This is book  1 of the Portland Storm series.  (bonus points for it being in Oregon!)  This was a book I could not put down and probably read in 2 days.  I recommend this book to anyone who like romance with some drama.

Ashton Scott by Nina Levine

This book Nina is putting out one “episode” a week.  So far three are out.  Here is the link to the first one:  http://dl.bookfunnel.com/eqhydtzvd5
They are free to download.

First thing first, I love, love, love the banter between Ashton and Lorelei and I hope it never stops.  I have read the first 3 episodes and I need so much more.  If you like to read but don’t have a lot of time, I suggest this book, since there are 3 chapters per episode and one per week of those, so it won’t take up too much of your time!

Lovegame by Tracy Wolff

This book I would give 4 out of 5 stars.  It is told in 1st person with every other chapter being the male then the female character’s point of view.  One thing I like about this type of writing is that you can fully get inside the heads of each of the main characters.  It also lets you feel more for each of them and gives you more background.  This book had a good amount of the sexual stuff, but I kindof wish we saw more actual romance in the book.  But it was a great suspense.  While I didn’t suspect the “bad guy” it also didn’t shock me either.  The prologue was a great entry into the book and happened several years before the book takes place, and adding an epilogue made the book even better.
What do you look for in a romantic suspense book?
