Dating can be a rocky journey. Once the new shine wears off, you may end up with a case of buyer’s remorse.
That’s where I come in. I set the backdrop and coach you through the breakup.
Don’t want overblown drama, hard feelings, or a drink tossed in your face? Then I’m your fairy godmother, child.
As an NFL quarterback, endorsement ads and the media pandering after me are all part of the game.
Ivy Hayes is the first woman who doesn’t care about my money and the notoriety that goes along with it.
But I’m a long-term guy, and she operates strictly in the now. Which means I need to bring my A-game.
Otherwise, I’ll end up getting ditched.

A swoon worthy book with laughs and even a few tears.
Becket really is the perfect book boyfriend and you can tell he is just a sweet genuine guy all around and him and his friends are such a great dynamic. Ivy has a terrible past and she has tried to get away from it. I love that she is smart, strong, successful and has done all of it with her foster sister by her side. Ivy is agaist love, she doesn’t think it is for her…but Becket will put up a good fight.
I cracked up when she didn’t know who he was when they first met…although you soon find out that is not actually their first meeting. One of my favorite things about them though is their love of “the word of the day”. It is such a fun idea to throw into a book and it shows that both have a lot of brains and not just looks and/or football talent.
I think Becket and Ivy are a perfect match…things snuck up on both of them, and we watch them go on this journey, especially Ivy of finding out what love does to a person. How they started out slowly and just talking and really we saw them build a solid foundation before sex even entered the picture…those are some of my favorite types of stories and this one is no exception. Told in dual POV is such a great way to see how their feelings have developed and how they both felt, even if it was not something one wanted to admit. I loved the drama thrown in and the twist that gave us.
5 perfect stars.
